Ranworth is a small village on Ranworth Broad, one of the most important wildlife sites in the Broads. It is about 8 miles north of Church Farm Barns and home to a floating visitor centre and a church tower with panoramic views.
About Ranworth
Ranworth Broad is a Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserve with a floating visitor centre accessible by a boardwalk through the reedbeds. The broad is home to grebes, herons, dragonflies, and a rich aquatic ecosystem. St Helen's Church — known as the Cathedral of the Broads — has a painted medieval screen and a tower that offers one of the best views in the Broads area.
Things to Do
Walk the boardwalk to the floating visitor centre on Ranworth Broad. Climb the tower of St Helen's Church for panoramic views across the Broads. Watch for wildlife from the visitor centre — binoculars are helpful. The village is quiet and makes a good stop on a wider Broads tour.
